On Monday 14th October 2002 Natalie set off with Hartlepool College to a beauty exhibition at the
GMEX centre in Manchester.
Natalie studied hairdressing at Hartlepool College in her first year and passed with flying colours.
She was named as 'Student of the Year.'
The following year she went on to do beauty and that was her reason for her visit to the GMEX centre
on 14th October 2002.
The college were boarding their coaches to return back home on the evening and Natalie took ONE step
back and was hit by a tram. She was rushed to hospital and went into a coma.
All her family and friends rushed to the hospital in Manchester and kept a bedside vigil.
On Thursday 17th October 2002, we all got the news that we didnt want to hear, Natalie was brain
dead. This day devastated so many peoples lives.
Natalie was loved by so many people and this was proven at her funeral on Tuesday 29th October 2002
as hundreds of people crammed into the church, the community centre, in the church gardens and even
lined the streets. Her funeral was a tribute of her life, which included personal speeches about
her life, telegrams from the MP and all of Natalie's favourite songs were played. There wasnt
a dry eye, it was a remarkable and unforgettable tribute. She had a send off that was fit for a
'Princess.'
Natalie was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She was bright, bubbly and her smile lit
up every room that she walked into.
She loved life and she lived it to the full. She loved her nights out in Hartlepool and
Newcastle.

They say time is a healer, but I have to disagree. This year was the hardest year of all when it came to your memory. My whole weekend was wrote off, spent the full weekend lying on my bed crying bucket fulls of tears thinking of you my princess. I remember the day that I got the phone call about your accident just like it was yesterday, but it seems like forever since I last saw ya.
Not a day goes by without me thinking of you. Everything I do I always think Madge would of been doing this with me :-) Everytime I am out in Newcastle I ALWAYS have a drink for you princess and still make sure I get our song played everytime and I always dance away and sing it at the top of my voice to you up above.
Them nights out are never the same without you Madge, but I got to try and make the most of it. Sometimes it easier than others, but other times it just to hard to cope with.
To this day I still torture myself and ask myself WHY WHY WHY??????? Something I will never get the answer to.
Was in Manchester not so long ago and laid you some flowers, it was very very hard to go back to the spot. Really didnt want to but felt I had to, just for you, cos I knew you would call me if I never hahahaha.

In a matter of 8-9 weeks nat we will be an auntie again to a gorgeous neice or nephew! our emma wont find out i've been nagging her to find out but she wont lol, just like you would of been xx
There is'nt a day or night that our emma doesnt explain to jack and harry about there ''auntie natalie'' and when this baby comes along jack and harry will be telling him/her to blow kisses up to the brightest star in the sky xx

In passing i thought i would leave a message to a fantastic person that natalie was. She touched so many hearts of people she met. She is sorely missed and will always be missed. I hope she is happy and looking down on everyone. RIP nat u r a star babe.

Afternoon Nat cant belive how fast time has gone but i will never forget you you were the type of person who made everyone feel soo welcome.
